Sequences, rotation, reflection, folding, hidden shapes and codes: the 11+ shape puzzles as games.
Temple of Patterns needs no account. The trial opens every game in the Arcade.

Non-verbal reasoning asks children to spot patterns in shapes rather than words, and the skill improves quickly with regular, visual practice. Each game takes a group of NVR question types — sequences and grids, rotation and reflection, paper folding and hole punching, hidden shapes and overlaps, NVR codes, shape addition and subtraction — and builds a theme around it.
Mission control: three orbits of satellites and the solar storm
Paper-craft workshop: four stations and the grand lantern
Night-time gallery: three rooms of frames and the master vault
Science lab: three labs, containment tests and a hologram reactor
Spy mission: scan four locations and crack the case
Skate park: tricks, combos and a big-air final run
Jungle temple: crack pattern locks to open every door
Each topic, and the game that practises it.
Non-verbal reasoning is set by GL Assessment, CEM, ISEB and many independent schools. FSCE and CSSE do not set reasoning papers.
For every question type and topic, with worked examples, see the 11+ non-verbal reasoning question types.
The original Prep4All games: quick puzzles for a spare five minutes.
Sequences, complete the grid, complete the pair, odd one out, figure classification, rotation, reflection and symmetry, paper folding and folding and punching, cube counting, hidden shapes, overlaps, layering and silhouettes, NVR codes, and shape addition and subtraction.
Yes. Temple of Patterns is free to play, with no account and no sign-up. The other non-verbal reasoning games are part of the full 11+ Arcade, included in every Prep4All plan with a 7-day free trial.
They help children get used to each question type, so spotting what changes between shapes becomes quicker. They do not replace timed practice papers, which show how your child copes with a full paper. Short, regular rounds alongside papers work well.
GL Assessment, CEM, ISEB and many independent schools set non-verbal reasoning. FSCE and CSSE do not, so families preparing only for those tests can skip these games.
The full 11+ Arcade, with every game, level and daily challenge, is included in every Prep4All plan alongside lessons, practice tests and mock exams. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
