Band 3 — Good

Good work! You're on the right track. To move to Band 4, focus on: using more ambitious vocabulary, adding sensory detail beyond sight, and slowing down at key moments.
Band 2 — Developing
Content relates to the task but lacks clear purpose. Limited vocabulary range. Little sentence variety. Few or no literary devices. Some errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
A solid foundation to build on. Focus on: planning before you write, using "ladder words" to upgrade basic vocabulary, and trying one or two literary techniques in each piece.
