A day on a market stall, from the morning bell to closing time. Every right answer serves an order: coins fly into the till and your reputation rises.
Included in every Prep4All plan. Grand Prix is free to try first.

Market Day turns 11+ money, decimals, units and time questions into a day on a market stall. Fifteen orders arrive between the morning bell and closing time, and each one is a question. Each part of the day leans on different topics, from money and time in the morning to decimals and units in the afternoon, and every day covers all five.
Right answers fill the till and raise your reputation, and as more orders are served the stall gets upgrades, from a striped awning to a golden sign. The last order of the day is a big order: a harder question for triple takings. Questions get harder after a streak and easier after misses. Reputation sets the star rating at closing time, and the stall review explains every trap that sent a basket away.
Questions from the game, for you to try together. Have a go before opening the answer.
Theo buys a book for £4.45 and pays with a £5 note. How much change should Theo receive?
£0.55 — Count up from £4.45 to £5: the change is 55p.
One battery costs £8.65. How much do 4 batteries cost?
£34.60 — Multiply: £8.65 × 4. Ignore the point: 865 × 4 = 3460. £8.65 has 2 decimal places, so the answer has 2: £34.60. Check: about 9 × 4 = 36.
What is twenty to six in the afternoon on the 24-hour clock?
17:40 — Twenty to six in the afternoon is 5:40 pm: add 12 to the hours for pm (5 + 12 = 17), so 17:40.
