Last checked against public sources: 31 August 2026
When we checked the school’s admissions pages on 31 August 2026, the ISEB Common Pre-Test was not part of the entry process. What the school uses instead: the school's own papers. Preparing specifically for the ISEB Pre-Test would not be preparing for this school’s process. Assessment arrangements do change and can differ by entry point, so confirm the current requirements with the school before you plan.
'Latymer Upper School sets its own papers in English and Mathematics; sample papers are available' - one Maths paper (60 min) and two English papers (comprehension 35 min, descriptive writing 45 min), sat AT Latymer Upper in Hammersmith, with selected candidates returning for an interview session. No reasoning component at all, and no ISEB, Quest or CAT4 reference in the 11+ content

the school's own papers
Prepare for this school’s own process, not for ISEB
The current process is: the school's own papers. Ask its admissions office what that involves at your child’s entry point, and what — if anything — it publishes for familiarisation.
You may still need the Pre-Tests for other schools
If another school on your list does use the Common Pre-Tests, your child still sits them once in the academic year and that single result is shared with every ISEB school you apply to.
Treat ISEB school lists with care
This school still appears on ISEB school lists that have not been re-checked. Where a listing matters to your plans, check it against the school’s own admissions pages — that is the only source we treat as authoritative.
Read on the school’s admissions pages on 31 August 2026, where the ISEB Common Pre-Test no longer appears in the entry process.
View the school’s pageSince Latymer Upper School does not use the Common Pre-Tests, ISEB-specific practice is not what this school asks for. Our free 11+ preparation guide covers the ground most senior-school assessments share — English, maths and reasoning — whatever provider a school uses.
